Our Purpose

We are a community-led, non-profit campaign established to protect the rural landscape, agricultural land, wildlife, heritage and communities of North Devon.

Our primary objective is to oppose the proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), data centre and associated industrial infrastructure proposed on land between Great Torrington, Huntshaw and Weare Giffard.

We believe development of this scale is inappropriate for productive farmland and the surrounding countryside and seek planning decisions that place local communities, food security and the environment first.
