This is the website for the Action Group opposing the proposed AI data centre and BESS next to the historic market town of Great Torrington, North Devon.
We are still collating contacts and information but this is not just the largest data centre in Europe, which will desecrate farm land forever, but also an enormous BESS - the 10th largest in the world. Huge BESS sites offer NO benefits to an area which is why they are usually built on desert and barren landscapes - except this one - so we need to focus on that as much as the data centre.
